Contracting with Insurance Carriers
In order to sell a carrier's product you must be contracted with them to do so. This is accomplished by submitting an agent appointment application. When you follow the link above, you will be able to request appointment application forms for all of the carriers HBW represents.
When To Get Contracted
There is no need to be contracted with every carrier that HBW represents. HBW suggests becoming contracted with a carrier only when the need arises, such as having business to write through the carrier or planning to write business with the carrier when it is required to be preapproved. Please follow the Licensing & Contracing Guidline Checklist attached to each contract. This form will let you know if Pre-Appointment is required, if E&O insurance is required, the state availability, and any important details pertaining to the Carrier Appointment.
Contract Maintenance
Address changes, contract changes and renewed life licenses all constitute Contract Maintenance. It is very important to maintain your appointment contracts for legal purposes and so that carriers know where to send funds and information. You must complete the required form to make any changes.
Contract Change Form - Change an agent's hierarchy or levels for Life payout and Securities payout.
Personal Contact Information Change Form - Change personal information, such as addresses, phone numbers, e-mails, etc.
